Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 2026

Beam (“we”, “us”) builds remote-access software for your own devices. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We designed Beam to need as little of your data as possible.

What we collect

  • Account identity — your email address and a hashed identifier from your sign-in provider (Apple, Google) so we can authenticate you.
  • Device registry — the names and identifiers of devices you sign in on, so trusted devices can find each other and you can revoke them.
  • Operational metadata — connection timestamps and which relay path was used, to keep sessions reliable and secure.
  • Billing — if you subscribe, our payment processor handles your card. We never see or store full card numbers.

What we do not collect

We do not store the contents of your sessions. Screen video, audio, clipboard and files stream directly between your devices over WebRTC, encrypted with DTLS-SRTP. Those frames never touch our servers. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Deleting your data

You can sign out of any device at any time, and revoke a device’s trust from the registry. You can permanently delete your account — and all data associated with it — from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Third parties

Beam relies on a small set of providers: Apple and Google for sign-in, a payment processor for subscriptions, and our own hosting for authentication and signaling. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
